Putting extra volume in your face with fat grafting works well.  But people often wonder how long it lasts.  Usually, you might not get the best results after just one session. You might need to do it two or more times, depending on where you want it. Following the initial session, some of the transferred fat cells may be reabsorbed by the body over time. So, in the next sessions, more fat cells are grafted to make up for the absorbed ones. These newly introduced cells are more likely to survive and become a permanent part of the facial structure. Keep in mind that aging or weight loss can influence the results. Yet once fat cells become permanent, they rarely disappear. Therfore, there is noo need to be concerned too much about it.

Lower blepharoplasty, also known as lower eyelid surgery, involves making a long incision under the eyelashes to remove saggy skin and fat under the eyes.  Since incisions are made during this surgery, you will be prescribed a scar ointment. When should you start using the scar ointment, and how long should you keep using it? It's best to begin applying Contractubex scar gel 2-3 weeks after the stitches are removed. If you put it on earlier, you might feel a tingling at the surgical site. The scar ointment is recommended to be applied for 3 to 6 months, and the scars typically fade away after 6 months. After lower blepharoplasty, you also need to apply Steri strips to the ends of the incisions for 3 weeks. It's a good idea to continue using Steri strips for at least 3 months, even while you sleep.

Lip fillers are injectables that make your lips look plump and nice. They fix things like uneven lips, wrinkles, and lips that are too thin or not lively. But because lips move a lot, you have to be careful after getting the treatment.  What precautions should be taken following lip filler treatment? On the day of the lip filler injection, refrain from frequent touching of the treated area and steer clear of consuming lip-irritating foods, especially those that are spicy or hot. For the first week, be gentle with your lips. Don't use straws too much or talk a lot, so your lips keep their shape. Avoid alcohol and smoking for at least a week. Swelling and bruising typically diminish within a week, contingent upon individual body responses.

Lateral canthoplasty is a surgical option suitable for individuals with small or closely set eyes.  Some patients express concern regarding the potential reconnection of tissues at the eye corners after the procedure. Is there a risk of re-adhesion following lateral canthoplasty?  Indeed, there is. Nevertheless, there's no need fto worry about that, as surgeons always take into account the possibility of eye corners reconnecting during the procedure. Additionally, in many instances, both lateral canthoplasty and lower canthoplasty are concurrently performed. This dual approach not only enhances eye size both horizontally and vertically but also diminishes the likelihood of reconnection at the eye corners. We strongly advise consulting with a highly experienced plastic surgeon before considering any eye surgery.

People often wonder how long it takes for bruises and swelling to go away after the surgery. Are you expecting a lot of bruises and swelling after your plastic surgery? Refrain from sudden movements, such as bending down to pick up objects or tying shoelaces, as these actions can lead to increased blood flow to the eyes, resulting in significant swelling in the operated area. Furthermore, it is advisable to avoid touching or rubbing your eyes after the surgery. For the first two weeks, refrain from wearing contact lenses and applying makeup to facilitate the recovery process. Additionally, using a high pillow and sleeping on your back is recommended. We always advise our patients to take a break from saunas for about a week after getting laser treatment, even though it's a simple procedure. But why? Well, after laser, your skin is left in an irritated state. Even if you can't see any bruises, there are tiny wounds on your skin. If you expose those wounds to high temperatures, like in a sauna, there's a higher chance of getting an infection or inflammation. For the best results and a smooth recovery, we recommend avoiding saunas or intense workouts for the first week after laser treatment. 

After eye plastic surgeries like double eyelid surgery, many patients are eager to know when it's safe to undergo laser treatment.  So, how soon after double eyelid surgery is it recommended? Experts suggest waiting for about 2-3 weeks post the removal of stitches before starting laser treatment. Beginning laser sessions before the recommended timeframe may increase the risk of inflammation. This also applies to upper blepharoplasty and lower blepharoplasty. To ensure the best results and a comfortable experience, it's crucial to adhere to this recommended timing when scheduling your laser treatment.

Lower blepharoplasty is an effective procedure for addressing issues like excess fat and sagging skin under the eyes.  However, some patients have reported perceiving asymmetry between their eyes post-surgery. Does it mean the surgery went wrong?  No, not really. Sometimes, one eye can heal and get better faster than the other, making them look uneven. Typically, it takes approximately one week for significant swelling to subside, and 2 to 3 weeks for the eyes to regain a natural appearance after the surgery. For smaller swellings, it might take up to 6 months to fully recover. If, after 6 months from the surgery date, your eyes still show asymmetry, the potential cause might be excessive fat removal under one eye. In such instances, it is advisable to consult with a specialized plastic surgeon before contemplating additional corrective procedures.
