Is It Possible to Improve Upper and Lower Eyelid Wrinkles Simultaneously?

Image
Combining upper blepharoplasty and lower blepharoplasty presents a highly effective solution for addressing both upper and lower eyelid wrinkles simultaneously. This procedure delicately targets and improves the appearance of wrinkles while also repositioning fat tissues beneath the eyes. Following the surgery, a post-operative follow-up treatment is necessary, typically lasting for five days. It's important to note that swelling may persist for up to one week post-surgery. Patients may experience tightness in the eyelids post-surgery due to the comprehensive treatment of wrinkles above and below the eyes. However, this sensation will diminish gradually over time. At She’s Plastic Surgery clinic, eyelid wrinkles surgery stands as one of our primary surgical procedures. Our clinic is a trusted destination for both domestic and international clients seeking to enhance their appearance. Our surgical package is specially designed to cater to the aesthetic demands of medical tourists. D...

Is Under-Eye Fat Likely to Return After Lower Blepharoplasty?

Image
Lower blepharoplasty is a popular cosmetic procedure aimed at addressing sagging skin and excess fat under the eyes.  However, many individuals question whether the under-eye fat may reappear, necessitating another lower blepharoplasty. Can under-eye fat make a comeback following lower blepharoplasty?  Yes, it can. Despite undergoing eye surgery, there's a possibility of under-eye fat re-sagging over time. As our bodies naturally age, the signs of aging tend to manifest more prominently around the eyes.  Should significant sagging recur, undergoing another surgery might be considered.  When considering options for addressing wrinkles or other concerns around the eye area, consulting with an experienced plastic surgeon is crucial. They can offer personalized advice and ensure that you receive appropriate treatment.

Can Incisional Double Eyelid Surgery Fix Sagging Eyelids?

Image
During consultations with our clients, we've discovered that many seek blepharoplasty to address their sagging upper eyelids. But can double eyelid surgery alone improve droopy eyelids? The answer is yes, but it may not yield optimal results.  When sagging upper eyelids result from aging, a combination of double eyelid surgery and upper blepharoplasty often produces a more satisfactory outcome.  This procedure not only addresses drooping eyelids but also removes upper eye wrinkles and creates double eyelid creases simultaneously. As a result, the eyes appear larger and more alert.

Is Scar Gel Necessary After Lower Blepharoplasty?

Image
Lower blepharoplasty, or lower eyelid surgery, involves creating an incision beneath the eyelashes to address sagging skin and fat below the eyes.  Given the incisions involved, a scar ointment or gel will be prescribed. But when should you start using it, and for how long? Ideally, begin applying Contractubex scar gel 2-3 weeks after stitch removal. Applying it sooner may cause a tingling sensation at the surgical site.  The recommended duration for applying scar ointment is 3 to 6 months, with scars typically fading after 6 months.  Additionally, Steri strips should be applied to the incision ends for 3 weeks post-surgery. Continuing their use for at least 3 months, including during sleep, is advisable.

Do I Need to Use Scar Ointment After Lower Blepharoplasty?

Lower blepharoplasty, also known as lower eyelid surgery, involves making a long incision under the eyelashes to remove saggy skin and fat under the eyes.  Since incisions are made during this surgery, you will be prescribed a scar ointment. When should you start using the scar ointment, and how long should you keep using it? It's best to begin applying Contractubex scar gel 2-3 weeks after the stitches are removed. If you put it on earlier, you might feel a tingling at the surgical site. The scar ointment is recommended to be applied for 3 to 6 months, and the scars typically fade away after 6 months. After lower blepharoplasty, you also need to apply Steri strips to the ends of the incisions for 3 weeks. It's a good idea to continue using Steri strips for at least 3 months, even while you sleep.

Addressing Eye Wrinkles with Lower Blepharoplasty

Image
Lower blepharoplasty is indeed effective for addressing under-eye wrinkles.  Curious if lower blepharoplasty can help with fine lines around the eyes, too? It's essential to clarify that this procedure primarily focuses on sagging skin and fat beneath the eyes. If you're specifically looking to improve fine lines around the eyes, lower blepharoplasty may not provide significant results.  The surgery involves creating a precise incision under the eyelashes to remove sagging skin and fat while securing inner tissues to the orbital bone. This targeted approach is crucial for tackling under-eye wrinkles and addressing complex under-eye fat issues. For fine lines, Botox treatments can be effective, especially for thin wrinkles. Deeper wrinkles may benefit from a combination of Botox and filler treatments.

Can Lower Blepharoplasty Eliminate Eye Wrinkles?

Image
Lower blepharoplasty is a highly effective procedure for addressing under-eye wrinkles. However, many wonder whether it can remove wrinkles and fine lines around the eyes. Fine lines around the eyes cannot be significantly improved during a lower blepharoplasty.  Lower blepharoplasty, which involves creating an incision under the eyelashes, primarily focuses on removing excess skin and fat under the eyes, reducing puffiness and correcting sagging. This surgical approach doesn't directly target fine lines or wrinkles around the eyes. To specifically address fine lines around the eyes, other non-surgical treatments like Botox are more effective. Botox can help smooth out these thinner wrinkles, while deeper wrinkles may benefit from a combination of Botox and dermal filler treatments.

I want to get rid of drooping eyelids.

Image
As we age, our eyelids start to sag. When eyelids sag, a person looks older. Therefore, many people turn to different procedures to remove drooping eyelids. Since there are many methods to improve this condition, the most ideal one would be blepharoplasty.     Blepharoplasty is a surgery that improves sagging eyelids. In this surgery, the surgeon excises the excess skin, muscles, and fat if the need arises for that.     Blepharoplasty recovery does not take a long time. The stitches are removed in 5 days after the surgery. Patients who undergo blepharoplasty can resume their daily activities.     The only thing that must bear in mind is that they should avoid strenuous exercises, sauna, alcohol for 2~3 weeks after the stitch out.

If you wish to improve droopy eyelids and get rid of excess skin and eye bags, you might have considered Upper eyelid surgery. Undoubtedly, this kind of surgery is the most effective in terms of results. However, you need to undergo a thorough consultation with your plastic surgeon. Today I will explain to you more about the surgery method so that you learn more about the surgery before making your final decision. The upper eyelid surgery takes about 1 hour. It is done under the local anesthetic with intravenous sedation. The surgery involves the removal of excess skin and fat tissue. The incision is made in the natural crease. However, if you don’t have double eyelids, they can be formed during the surgery. By the end of the surgery, the incisions are closed with sutures. During the first week after the surgery, you may have a big swelling. Therefore, we recommend you apply a cold pack to your upper eyelids for the first 2 days after the surgery. Starting from the 3rd day after ...

Eye bag surgery: What you should know about it

Image
Lower blepharoplasty, also known as lower eyelid surgery, is a cosmetic procedure performed to improve wrinkles, sagging, and puffiness of lower eyelids.     Usually, the lower eyelid surgery is done in conjunction with upper eyelid surgery, facelift, or brow lift surgeries.     Lower blepharoplasty is conducted under local anesthesia with IV sedation. As for the side effects, there might be bruising, swelling which is normal after the plastic surgery. However, swelling and bruising gradually subside within 1~2 weeks.   During the surgery, the doctor makes an incision in the lower eyelid and removes sagging skin and wrinkles. Depending on the condition of the lower eyelids, the surgery can also remove excess fat in the lower eyelid area. The surgery may last for 1 to 2 hours.     As far as the efficacy of the surgery is concerned, the result of the surgery depends on how well one takes care of the surgery site and follows post-surgery gui...

When will do surgery scars disappear and improve?

Image
Most people turn to plastic surgery when they want to remove wrinkles on the eye, face, and corners of the eye. As we age, our skin loses its elasticity and starts to sag. This is the main reason contributing to the formation of wrinkles. However, the main concern that the majority of people are worried about is the marks (scars) and surgery scars after the surgery. And these are the two frequently asked questions by our customers: “when do the incision mark fade and how long does it take to fully recover and have a natural appearance.  Swelling is a normal thing after all types of surgeries. It takes less than 1 week for swelling to go away. In case of surgeries involving a slightly bigger incision such as facelift, the operation area may swell for about 2~3 weeks. Depending on each individuals’ body constitution, the surgery marks and scars will gradually disappear within 1~2 months.  And the incision scar will become far less visible. The important thing that every patient ...

Boost your self-esteem with Sub-brow lift!

Image
Boost your self-esteem with a Sub-brow lift! The eyelid ptosis and eyebrow laxity are usually caused by the loss of the elasticity of the skin. It is widely common especially among those people who have a relatively wide gap between eyebrows and eyes. This hooding area can substantially cover the eyelid crease and impede the vision. This condition can be easily corrected with the Sub-brow lift surgery. Since sub-brow lift is a minimally invasive surgery, it is performed with the localized anesthesia. The sub-brow method is a surgical technique that has the eyebrow lifting effect.  The operation is performed with the incision under the hairline of the eyebrows. During the operation, the skin below the eyebrows is demarcated and removed.  The operation allows to successfully remove not only the sagging skin but also fixate the position of muscles. In this process, the muscles get tightened and the incisional area is carefully sutured.  It may take about a week of downtime, ...

Image
When undergoing any surgeries, it is necessary to be aware of possible side effects of surgeries. Therefore, one must always ask from the specialist or a plastic surgeon about this aspect of the surgery. In this post, I am going to explain what potential side effects might arise after the epicanthoplasty and lateral canthoplasty.  First, let us start from the epicanthoplasty. Even if this is a surgery with high success rate, one must not gloss over few complications. After the epicanthoplasty, as the doctor makes an incision, there might be  left some visible scars for some months after the surgery. Another potential side effect is that since everybody's organism is different, there might be infection during the surgery but that barely happens because the surgery is safe and causes very few side effects. This is why, most patients who undergo epicanthoplasty feel satisfied with the overall result of the surgery.  Next is the possible side effects of lateral canthoplasty. ...
