Can I wear contact lenses after Upper Blepharoplasty?

Image
Upper blepharoplasty is eyelid surgery to rejuvenate the appearance of upper eyelids by removing extra skin and fat tissue. If you wear contact lenses, you may have some concerns about getting the surgery. When can you wear contact lenses after surgery? You need to wait for 2-3 weeks after the stitches removal to start wearing the contact lenses again. However, if you experience dry eyes, you might wait a little bit longer. Though you may have some inconveniences, it is very important to follow this instruction. It takes about 2-3 weeks for the eyelid skin tissue to heal and get less sensitive. Wearing makeup and contact lenses too soon, may cause inflammations and prolong the recovery process. Moreover, pulling the eyelid area near the incision site may interfere with the healing process since the incisional site may re-open. If you have bad eyesight, we recommend you to wear glasses for 2-3 weeks after the surgery. Make sure your eyeglasses are in good working condition because...

Can I improve my neck wrinkles with a Facelift?

Image
If you have loose facial skin, one of the most effective options is a surgical Facelift. It effectively improves sagging skin, lifting the cheeks, improving nasolabial folds, and facial contour. Some patients are curious whether it’s possible to improve face and neck at the same time with a Facelift surgery. Today we will answer this question.     At SHE’S Plastic Surgery, we perform a surgical facelift that addresses facial wrinkles and sagging. Though it improves jaw contour and neck, it doesn’t address the neck wrinkles the way the Neck lift does. If you are dealing with the general skin sagginess on your neck, the incisions will be located behind the ears. However, if you have vertical wrinkles on your neck, the location...

Nose job with fillers?

Dermal filler is a simple procedure that helps lift the nose bridge. However, most patients do not feel satisfied with filler injections. Therefore, they want to do rhinoplasty for a higher nose bridge.     Is it okay to do the nose surgery after the filler injection?     The surgeon recommends undergoing nose surgery after dissolving the fillers. But before dissolving the fillers, you must let the doctor know which type of filler you had because not all fillers can be reversible. Only hyaluronic acid-based fillers can be dissolved with a filler-dissolving injection. You can have the rhinoplasty done in 3~5 days after the fillers are dissolved.     In addition, if you have done non-reversible fillers, the surgeon must scrape non-reversible fillers and then do the nose surgery.   However, in this case, there might be a risk of inflammation because of the implants.     Therefore, it is crucial to know exactly what type of fillers you did...

How to reduce swelling after double eyelid surgery?

Image
After the double eyelid surgery, there might be swelling depending on each person’s body constitution. Therefore, many patients want to know if there are any methods to ease the swelling.     Usually, major swelling goes down within 1~2 weeks. When it comes to minor swelling, it should subside gradually as time passes.     After the surgery, it is advisable to apply a cold compression for 2~3 days. Then, it is okay to do a warm compression for about a week.     There will be no need to continue the application of the cold or warm compression pack. The remaining swelling will naturally subside. Along with the cold and warm compression, eating pumpkin juice, seaweed soup, kelp will boost blood circulation and improve the oxygen supply.     Also, taking light walks helps improve blood circulation and reduce swelling.

Liposuction is a cosmetic procedure that contours the body by removing fat from a specific part of the body.
