We often tell our patients to avoid going to the sauna after laser treatments. Now, I will explain why one should avoid sauna after lasers and when one can start using it again. After skin laser treatments, bruising is expected. Even if there is no bruising on the skin, there will be some invisible injuries on the skin.     In hot and humid areas like saunas, there is a high tendency to get inflammation and infection after laser procedures. Therefore, we recommend that one visits the sauna one week after the laser.

  We advise you not to go to a sauna or public bathhouse after the laser treatment due to the heat and high temperature. Why should you be careful about the bath? When can you go to the bathhouse after laser treatment? Even if there are no bruises on the skin after laser treatment, there may be invisible wounds on the skin. After the procedure, a hot and humid place may cause skin infection or inflammation.  Therefore it is recommended to go to the public bathhouse 1 week after the laser treatment.
