Is it normal to have asymmetry after under-eye surgery?

Image
Under-eye fat removal surgery is a cosmetic procedure that helps improve and remove under-eye fat by making the lower eyelids look fresh.     However, many clients say that they notice asymmetry in their lower eyelids. Does this mean that the surgery went wrong?   The reason both lower eyelids look asymmetrical is because of swelling. The big swelling comes down in a week, and it takes 2~3 weeks for the natural look.     Therefore, the doctor tells the patients to wait six months for the final result.     After six months, when the swelling subsides, the asymmetry also improves.

I want to get rid of drooping eyelids.

As we age, our eyelids start to sag. When eyelids sag, a person looks older. Therefore, many people turn to different procedures to remove drooping eyelids. Since there are many methods to improve this condition, the most ideal one would be blepharoplasty.     Blepharoplasty is a surgery that improves sagging eyelids. In this surgery, the surgeon excises the excess skin, muscles, and fat if the need arises for that.     Blepharoplasty recovery does not take a long time. The stitches are removed in 5 days after the surgery. Patients who undergo blepharoplasty can resume their daily activities.     The only thing that must bear in mind is that they should avoid strenuous exercises, sauna, alcohol for 2~3 weeks after the stitch out.

Laser liposuction, should I undergo a second surgery?

Laser liposuction is a cosmetic procedure that helps remove fat from the cheeks and double chin. However, many people wonder if there is a need to repeat the procedure after the first procedure.     Laser liposuction involves applying a laser onto the surgery site and melting the fat. The face looks smaller, and the skin elasticity improves after the procedure. Once the fat is dissolved, there might be some degree of swelling, which comes down shortly.   But if there is too much fat, additional second surgery might be needed in 6 months after the first one. The reason is that the skin might sag when much fat is removed.     However, this does not mean that everyone will need to repeat the second surgery. Therefore, we highly recommend that you consult only with board-certified plastic surgery before the surgery.
