How long does swelling go after eyelid surgery?

Image
Swelling is one of the things that most people feel worried about when undergoing double eyelid surgery. How long does the swelling go after the double eyelid surgery? How much time does it take for a full recovery? Swelling and bruising subside depending on each person’s body constitution gradually. Usually, big swelling goes down usually within 2~3 weeks, while little swelling takes 3~6 months to subside.   After the double eyelid surgery, one can apply a cold pack first three days and for the following 5 days a warm pack. It helps reduce swelling and bruising.

Pangsis and dermal injections

Image
These days many people are taking care of their skin with different skincare procedures. To double the effect of those procedures, dermal injections or so-called skin boosters would be a nice addition to them. However, such skin boosters as Chanel or Rejuran are not painless. Therefore, the majority of people hesitate to try these injections merely because of the fear of the pain. That is a normal thing because beauty requires sacrifice. Considering the downtime and side effects of these skin boosters, we have introduced a new medical device called “PANGSIS.” It has nano- needles, which help make the treatment procedure painless. Also, it does not leave any redness and bruising on the skin. Moreover, one hardly ever experiences swelling thanks to the nano-needles. Customers previously concerned and worried about the pain of these skin boosters are more than glad to have their procedures done with PANGSIS because they can get their favorite treatments with no pain, redness, or bru...

Checklist before laser procedures

Image
Many patients hesitate to ask questions regarding their laser treatments. However, asking questions is the first important step towards the right treatments and effective results. Only by asking the questions, can you and your doctor choose the appropriate treatment program. If you do not know what to ask during your consultation with a dermatologist or plastic surgeon, here is the checklist that you can refer to.   Is your doctor a board-certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon? Is he or she specifically specialized in the sphere of plastic surgery or dermatology? Is the clinic or hospital accredited or licensed by the government? Are you a good candidate for the laser treatment you want to have? Is there anything that you should do to achieve the best results? Who is going to conduct the procedure? Is it the same doctor who you consulted with? What area and how is the procedure going to be performed? How long does the procedure itself take? How long does the downtime tak...

What does Infini micro-needling treat?

Image
Infini is a non-surgical method that involves using tiny needles to make micro-injuries to the skin. These micro-injuries generate collagen production and improve micro-injuries. The procedure of Infini combines the radio frequency as well. Dermatologists use the radio frequency to tighten the skin by applying electrical heat to the treatment area with micro-needling. The main benefits of Infini micro-needling are smoothing out fine lines and wrinkles, improving acne scarring, age spots, skin discoloration, and sagging skin. Although the Infini micro-needling is a safe procedure, it is necessary to consult with a board-certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon before undergoing this treatment.

Can I have multiple plastic surgeries at once?

Image
Some clients would like to have multiple surgeries at once. However, the question is if it is possible to undergo several plastic surgeries at once on the same day.     Is it not better to have surgeries one at a time? Let’s hear what our plastic surgeon thinks about this question.     Dr. Kim recommends having multiple surgeries at once. The reason is that to achieve the balance and harmony of the surgery sites.     To be more exact, if one does the double eyelid surgery and undergoes rhinoplasty after several months, the surgery result might not be as balanced as one expects.     What is more, once you do the surgeries separately, that also means that you must go through the recovery period once again after each surgery. Therefore, we recommend getting multiple surgeries at once.

Can I have filler on the tip of the nose?

Image
Nose filler is a simple procedure done to lift the nose bridge. Therefore, most customers ask if it is possible to inject fillers into the nose tip. If not, why is that?   Nose tip filler carries a risk, and therefore the doctor does not recommend it. Unlike the nose bridge, there are two arteries connected inside the tip of the nose.     Improper injection of filler might result in artery obstruction. Moreover, it might worsen the blood circulation and cause inflammation as well as swelling. Since the tip consists of bones, fillers can make the nose tip look even more blunt or stubby.     The doctor does not recommend nose tip fat grafting either. The best and safest way to correct the nose tip is surgery.     Even once you decide to do the surgery, it is important to discuss the procedure with a board-certified plastic surgeon in detail.

Laser liposuction, should I undergo a second surgery?

Image
Laser liposuction is a cosmetic procedure that helps remove fat from the cheeks and double chin. However, many people wonder if there is a need to repeat the procedure after the first procedure.     Laser liposuction involves applying a laser onto the surgery site and melting the fat. The face looks smaller, and the skin elasticity improves after the procedure. Once the fat is dissolved, there might be some degree of swelling, which comes down shortly.   But if there is too much fat, additional second surgery might be needed in 6 months after the first one. The reason is that the skin might sag when much fat is removed.     However, this does not mean that everyone will need to repeat the second surgery. Therefore, we highly recommend that you consult only with board-certified plastic surgery before the surgery.

Does facelift leave scars?

Image
A facelift is a cosmetic surgery that improves wrinkles all over the face. However, many people are concerned about the scars done at the back of the ear. We are going to cover scarring after the facelift.   In a facelift, the surgeon makes an incision in the scalp along the backside of the ears. Since the incision is behind the ears, the incision lines will not be visible.     After 6 months, the incision line turns white and becomes almost invisible. Therefore, there is no need to worry about post-surgical scarring.

Nose job with fillers?

Image
Dermal filler is a simple procedure that helps lift the nose bridge. However, most patients do not feel satisfied with filler injections. Therefore, they want to do rhinoplasty for a higher nose bridge.     Is it okay to do the nose surgery after the filler injection?     The surgeon recommends undergoing nose surgery after dissolving the fillers. But before dissolving the fillers, you must let the doctor know which type of filler you had because not all fillers can be reversible. Only hyaluronic acid-based fillers can be dissolved with a filler-dissolving injection. You can have the rhinoplasty done in 3~5 days after the fillers are dissolved.     In addition, if you have done non-reversible fillers, the surgeon must scrape non-reversible fillers and then do the nose surgery.   However, in this case, there might be a risk of inflammation because of the implants.     Therefore, it is crucial to know exactly what type of fillers you did...

Should I remove all my accessories before the surgery?

Image
We usually inform our patients to take off all the accessories before the surgery. Therefore, many clients want to know the reason why they cannot wear the accessory.   Patients are asked to remove the accessory because of bleeding. During plastic surgery, there might occur bleeding. The doctor uses a medical device to stop bleeding.     One might get skin burned if they have any accessory or metal objects on the body. That is why we insist that patients remove all types of accessory or metal objects before the surgery for the sake of safety.
