Instructions after face liposuction

Image
Face liposuction or facial lipolysis is a cosmetic procedure that removes excess fat from the face. It also restores skin elasticity at the same time. Depending on the amount of fat, the procedure can be done in one or two sessions.   Post-procedure care is equally important as the procedure itself. Therefore, it is necessary to take all prescribed medications, protect the surgery area from any forms of injuries, pressure, and water.     It is also necessary to put on a compression mask for 3 weeks after the surgery. The compression mask protects the surgery area and maintains the result of the procedure. You must also avoid extreme work-out, sauna, alcohol for 2~3 weeks after the stitches removal.

Melasma laser treatment

Image
Melasma is a dermatological condition causing brown-colored pigmentation on the skin. Melasma appears usually on the following areas of the skin: forehead, chin, cheeks, and areas easily exposed to the sun.     The main factor for melasma development is sun exposure. It is usually common among people with darker skin complexion. There are many laser procedures available to treat pigmentation caused by melasma. Two laser procedures are effective to treat pigmentation in our clinic: fractional laser and IPL. Fractional laser, also known as Fraxel, is a skin resurfacing laser. It makes tiny holes in the skin and stimulates the growth of new cells. After the procedure, the skin looks red, but it recovers in 1~2 days.     Another laser is IPL. It stands for Intense Pulsed Light Laser. This laser involves different wavelengths to remove or lighten the pigmentation in the skin. IPL laser treatment does not require any downtime. However, one can repeat the proc...

What is the difference between IPL and other lasers?

Image
The full name of IPL is Intense pulsed light. It is a procedure similar to laser treatments used to remove or improve wrinkles, age spots, pigmentation, sun damage. In this post, I am going to explain how IPL is different from other lasers. Laser treatments use just only one wavelength of light on the entire skin. However, IPL focuses on many different light wavelengths. IPL enters the deep down to the second layer of the skin, called the dermis, while not damaging the epidermis. The heat coming from IPL absorbs skin pigmentation and cleans the skin from freckles or spots.     After the IPL procedure, it is recommended to avoid direct sun exposure, tanning, waxing, all kinds of chemical peels. Therefore, it is important to put a sunscreen regularly after the IPL. The skin may get dry after lPL. That is why it is important to apply moisturizer or sheet masks at night.

Customers of all age groups, from teenagers to adults, opt for this surgery to be free of their complex of protruding ears.     However, some customers wear glasses because of vision. Therefore, they are curious if it is okay to put on the glasses and from when.     You can wear glasses after the corrective surgery of protruding ears. The reason is that it may negatively affect the result of the surgery and slow down the recovery process.

Can you drive after the plastic surgery?

Image
We often get questions from the patients asking if it is allowed to drive after the surgery.     We recommend that one refrain from driving on the surgery day. Therefore, we tell our customers to have someone accompany them. So that would be safer. The reason we do not recommend driving is because of the anesthesia. Even if the patient recovers fast after the anesthesia, he will still be in a semi-conscious condition.     That is why it is advisable to use either public transportation or ask one’s friends or acquaintances to assist you to get home after the surgery.

Draw attention to your smile with Dimpleplasty

Image
Dimples are an attractive feature many people wish to have. Dimples are generally considered to be the signs of beauty. Dimpleplasty is the minimally invasive aesthetic procedure that is performed to recreate dimples on your cheeks. During the consultation with the doctor, you can discuss the exact location and depth of your dimples. Dimple creation takes about 30 minutes. During the operation, the doctor will make small incisions and place small stitches inside your cheeks. When the stitches are tied, the cheek dermis is pulled closer to the underlying cheeks muscles. The inside of your cheeks will be closed with absorbable sutures. Right after the procedure, your new dimples may look quite exaggerated and visible even without you smiling. However, with time, they will soften and look more natural. For the first 7 days after the operation, you should regularly rinse your mouth with the prescribed oral antiseptic solution. You will also be prescribed antibiotics and analgesics. The sut...
