How Soon after Laser Can I Get a Facial Massage?

Image
Many of our clients wonder when it’s safe to get a facial massage following laser treatment.   Will the skin be irritated if you get a massage after laser? The answer depends on the type of laser you have undergone.  Procedures like Infini (micro-needling) and Fraxel result in scabs forming on the skin. Therefore, we recommend that you wait about 3 weeks for the scabs to fall off naturally before scheduling a massage.  For other types of laser treatments, you can enjoy a facial massage just 1 week after the procedure.

Can I Combine “The Up” Thread Lift with Other Treatment?

Image
“The Up” thread lift is a highly effective procedure for addressing sagging skin, wrinkles around the mouth, and lifting the jawline. This simple yet effective procedure has gained popularity among our clients.  Many of our clients inquire about the possibility of combining “The Up” thread lift with laser treatment to save time. Is this possible? The answer is no. We do not recommend undergoing “The Up” thread lift and laser treatments on the same day. Having laser treatment right after a thread lift can potentially irritate the skin and increase the risk of infection. Moreover, there is a possibility that laser may affect or dissolve the threads that were inserted earlier.  For the best results, you should wait about 1 month after your thread lift before considering laser treatments.

Laser Treatment for Hyperpigmentation?

Image
Laser-based treatment is an effective procedure to improve skin pigmentation. There are various types of laser treatment, among which IPL and laser toning are the most popular.  During consultation with us, many clients wonder which one is more suitable for hyperpigmentation like freckles or melasma. Both can improve skin pigmentation, but what are the differences between them?  IPL is effective in removing freckles as well as improving age spots, melasma and dull skin.  It helps brighten your overall complexion, giving it a radiant glow. IPL is recommended to be undergone 5 times at 3-week intervals.   Meanwhile, laser toning addresses melasma, a type of hyperpigmentation in the deeper layers of the skin. Also, it can remove other types of hyperpigmentation like age spots.  By getting laser toning, you will notice a gradual lightening of hyperpigmentation. To assure safety and achieve optimal results, it is recommended to undergo a minimum of 10 low-intensity treatments spaced at 1-we

You can wear glasses right after a filler injection.  However, you should be careful not to let the glasses press on the treatment area. Can Lower Blepharoplasty Eliminate Eye Wrinkles?

Image
Lower blepharoplasty is a highly effective procedure for addressing under-eye wrinkles. However, many wonder whether it can remove wrinkles and fine lines around the eyes. Fine lines around the eyes cannot be significantly improved during a lower blepharoplasty.  Lower blepharoplasty, which involves creating an incision under the eyelashes, primarily focuses on removing excess skin and fat under the eyes, reducing puffiness and correcting sagging. This surgical approach doesn't directly target fine lines or wrinkles around the eyes. To specifically address fine lines around the eyes, other non-surgical treatments like Botox are more effective. Botox can help smooth out these thinner wrinkles, while deeper wrinkles may benefit from a combination of Botox and dermal filler treatments.

Can You Get Infini and V-RO Treatments on the Same Day?

Image
Infini micro-needling tightens enlarged pores while V-RO lifts saggy skin and improves skin elasticity.  There is a question we usually receive during consultation with our clients. They wonder whether it is possible to have both treatments on the same day.  The answer is yes. Since the skin layers targeted during the two treatments are different, you can get both of them at the same time.  Infini is a procedure that combines radio frequency and micro-needling to stimulate the dermal layer of the skin. It helps tighten pores and improve the appearance of acne scars. Meanwhile, V-RO is a procedure that stimulates the SMAS layer and lifts facial muscles. Therefore, you can notice a lifting and skin-tightening effect after it. In conclusion, if you wish to have both treatments on the same day, you can have V-RO first and then Infini.

Does Fat Grafting Lead to Sagging Skin?

Image
Facial fat grafting is effective in restoring the facial volume naturally.  A question we have received very often from our clients is whether the skin sags overtime following a fat grafting procedure. Is there any possibility that facial fats sag quickly, making you look like an angry person? The answer is no. Fat transfer in fact has nothing to do with skin sagging. After fat grafting, the skin may appear bloated and sagged but this is something happens naturally when a lot of fat is injected into the skin. The fat bundled up beneath the skin makes it look loose as if it were aging.  Fat grafting result highly depends on the surgeon’s skills. Therefore, it is advisable to seek consultation with an experienced surgeon before deciding to undergo the procedure.
