Do I Need to Touch Up Fillers?

Image
Fillers are injections that effectively smooth wrinkles and restore volume on your face.  However, sometimes fillers touch-ups are necessary depending on the situation. You may be asked to visit us for a touch-up 2-3 weeks after the treatment. Are fillers touch-ups necessary? During the first treatment, there are cases where the skin doesn’t stretch enough, and the injected amount is insufficient, or bruising occurs. In such cases, once the swelling has subsided, a touch-up is performed for a more accurate result.   It is recommended that you have a thorough consultation with a plastic surgeon before deciding on a touch-up.

Can V-RO Enhance the Appearance of Your Eye Area?

Image
You’ve probably heard of V-RO, a well-known lifting procedure, right? V-RO is a procedure that combines high-frequency and ultrasonic waves. What sets it apart is that you can see the changes immediately after the treatment, making it a highly trusted procedure. While V-RO shares similarities with other procedures in terms of its lifting effect, it boasts a unique feature. It can be safely performed on delicate areas like the eye region. One of the standout benefits of V-RO is its minimal discomfort compared to alternative treatments. Many people opt for this procedure without prior anesthesia. This is another reason why V-RO is becoming more and more popular.  For maintaining skin firmness, we recommend undergoing the V-RO treatment every 3 to 4 months. Additionally, combining this procedure with Juve Look skin booster can enhance its anti-ageing effects significantly.

Are There Scars after a Facelift?

Image
Facelift is an effective solution to deep facial wrinkles that come with the natural aging process. It’s common for some people to be concerned about scarring since the procedure involves creating a long incision in the hairline starting at the temples and ending behind the ears. So, is it likely to have visible surgical scars after a facelift? Following a facelift, you might notice some redness at the incision sites for a while. However, within about 6 months, they will fade to a nearly imperceptible white colour.  Given that the incisions can be concealed by your hair, you don’t have to worry too much about noticeable surgical scars. Nevertheless, it is crucial to diligently follow the post-operative instructions and consistently apply scar cream for a satisfactory outcome.

Can Scars Be Completely Removed?

Image
You have scars on your face and body? Don’t worry because they can be treated with a scar revision surgery. However, many of our clients wonder if scars can be erased completely. Can they fully disappear after surgery? Scars cannot be erased permanently with a scar revision surgery. Scar revision is a plastic surgery that minimizes scars so that it is less visible. In case a scar is too large, it may be even harder to completely remove it. Also, incisions made on areas of frequent movement may reopen although the surgery had been successfully performed. It is advisable that you seek consultation with a plastic surgeon before deciding to undergo a scar revision surgery.

Should You Pop Your Pimples?

Image
There is a question frequently asked by customers who get acne care facial at our clinic. They wonder if they can extract acnes at home. So, can you pop those annoying pimples that just keep coming back again and again? As for acne and pimple extraction, it is recommended to seek professional help. If you squeeze your acnes at home, there is a high risk of infection. Infection can make your skin condition worse than it was before the pimple extraction. Moreover, sterile needles should be used when extracting pimples to prevent skin damage. When popping pimples at home, there is a risk of infection or scarring because you may not know how to sterilize a needle properly. Especially, it is advisable to get the treatment from a skincare specialist if your acnes are large and red or have appeared for only 1-2 days.

How Long Does Fat Grafting Last?

Image
Facial fat grafting is effective in adding volume to your face naturally.    However, many clients have asked us about the longevity of this procedure.  It is difficult to obtain optimal results after just one session of fat grafting.     2 or more sessions may be required depending on the area. After the first session, some of the transferred fat cells may be reabsorbed by the body over time. In the second and third sessions, more fat cells are grafted to make up for the absorbed ones. And these will survive and become permanent.  It should be noticed that aging or weight loss may affect the results.  Yet once fat cells become permanent, they rarely disappear. So, you don’t need to worry too much.

How Often Should You Get Juve Look Treatment?

Image
Juve Look is a skin booster that boosts collagen production when injected into your skin. It is advisable to have 3-5 treatments at 3-week intervals.   During consultation with us, many clients wonder if it is necessary to have more than 3-5 treatments. Does your skin return to its original condition if you stop getting treatment after the first 3-5 sessions?  The answer is yes. The result would last from 1 to 1.5 years. After that, your skin will return to its original condition.  Therefore, it is recommended that you repeat the treatment once every 2-3 months after the first 3-5 sessions to maintain the results.

Is it Possible to Undergo Upper Blepharoplasty Twice?

Image
Upper blepharoplasty is a surgical procedure designed to address excessive skin in the upper eyelid area, which can potentially obstruct vision. In many cases, the eyelids become saggy due to ageing even one has undergone an upper blepharoplasty once. Is it possible to undergo a second upper blepharoplasty?  The eyes tend to show the signs of aging more quickly than other areas on your body. The upper lids can sag again even though the excess skin in this area has been removed once. In such situations, a secondary upper eyelid surgery may be considered. However, it is advisable that you seek consultation with an experienced plastic surgeon before undergoing a second surgery.

What Are Those Tiny White Bumps around Your Eyes?

Image
Many are concerned about small white bumps that appears around their eyes. Though those tiny bumps are not noticeable unless you look at them closely, they can be extremely irritating.  These bumps which are commonly confused with white heads are milia. But why do they appear?  Milia can be caused by different factors. Most commonly, they occur due to dead skin cells and sebum building up and getting trapped beneath the surface of your skin.    Milia around eyes can be easily treated with laser. You should not remove them at home, or they can get infected. It is advisable to have them removed by a skincare professional.   Also, don’t forget to apply DuoDerm band-aid on the treatment area for at least 1 week after the milia have been removed.

Do Threads Break After a Thread Lift?

Image
Thread lift is a well-known procedure for effectively lifting sagging cheeks, reducing wrinkles around the mouth and jawline. It's popular because it's relatively quick and doesn't require post-operative treatment. However, individuals considering a thread lift often wonder if the threads can break and whether it's safe to open their mouth widely after the procedure. Is there a risk of thread breakage? Typically, threads do not break after the procedure. However, the strength of the threads may be compromised to some extent, depending on the type of threads used. The results can vary depending on the thread type. At She's Plastic Surgery, we use mesh-type threads known as The Up Thread Lift. These threads cover a broader area of skin tissue compared to single threads, resulting in a more natural lifting effect. Additionally, the mesh-type threads, consisting of three single threads, are more effective in lifting larger areas. After a thread lift procedure, it's

How Soon after Eye Surgery Can You Get Skin Laser?

Image
It’s common for patients to wonder when they can get laser treatment after eye plastic surgeries such as double eyelid surgery, upper blepharoplasty, lower blepharoplasty.    So, how soon after an eye surgery is it safe to undergo laser treatment?    The recommended timeframe is 2-3 weeks after the stitches have been removed.    Starting laser treatment earlier may carry the risk of inflammation. To ensure optimal results and a comfortable experience, it’s important to keep this timing in mind when scheduling your laser treatment.

Is There Any Downtime with Injection 135?

Image
Injection 135 is a skin procedure that involves delivering 53 types of essential nutrients into your skin. This treatment not only provides excellent moisturization but also offers benefits like enhanced skin elasticity, improved skin tone, tightened pores, and reduced fine lines.  You might be wondering if there is any downtime associated with Injection 135, considering it involves injecting boosters directly into the skin. So, does this procedure require a recovery period?  The Injection 135 is performed using a device called Hycoox, and it concludes with a skin soothing step. AS a result, there is no need for a recovery period. You can comfortably wash your face and apply makeup 3 hours after the treatment. There are typically no noticeable marks or redness left behind afterward.  Notably, during the procedure, the use of Pangsis helps minimize the pain and swelling to a great extent.

Is It Possible to Reverse Epicanthoplasty?

Image
Sometimes, the inner corners of the eyes may appear unnatural after an epicanthoplasty procedure.  In such cases, patients who had the surgery elsewhere may have questions about the possibility of a corrective procedure to restore the eyes to their original appearance. Excessive epicanthoplasty can be addressed through a reconstructive epicanthoplasty.  This procedure not only repositions the skin but also adjusts the inner tissues of the eye corners.  However, it's important to note that fully restoring the original epicanthal fold shape can be challenging. Instead, it primarily enhances the appearance of the Mongolian crease rather than reverting the inner corners of the eyes to their pre-surgery state. Prior to considering a revision surgery, it is essential to have a comprehensive consultation with a plastic surgeon to discuss your options.

Why Do Double Eyelid Creases Become Thinner after Surgery?

Image
Some patients who have undergone double eyelid surgery express concerns about their eyelids appearing thinner sometime after the procedure. But why does this happen, and is a revision surgery necessary to address it? These are several reasons why double eyelid creases appear thinner following the surgery. For instance, the skin in the upper eyelid area may lose elasticity over time, or excessive eye rubbing can contribute to this issue, which is actually quite common.  Whether a revision surgery is necessary depends on the underlying cause. If the eyelids are saggy, it is possible to maintain the original double eyelid crease while removing excess skin, thus making the creases appear more visible.  Understanding the specific reason behind the thinning of double eyelid creases is crucial. It is advisable to have a thorough consultation with an experienced plastic surgeon before considering a revision surgery.

Can Under-Eye Fat Return after Lower Blepharoplasty?

Image
Lower blepharoplasty is a cosmetic procedure designed to address saggy skin and excess fat under the eyes.  However, a common question that arises during patient consultations is whether the under-eye fat can sag again, necessitating an additional lower blepharoplasty. So, can under-eye fat reappear after undergoing lower blepharoplasty? The answer is yes, under-eye fat can potentially sag again even after a lower blepharoplasty.  It's important to understand that our bodies age, and the eyes are among the areas that show signs of aging more quickly. The need for additional surgery depends on the extent of sagging. When considering treatment for eye wrinkles or concerns, it's crucial to consult with a skilled plastic surgeon who specializes in precise techniques for the delicate eye area.

Can V-RO Enhance the Appearance of Your Eye Area?

Image
V-RO, an advanced procedure that combines high-frequency and ultrasonic waves, is the upgraded version of Doublo Gold.  Many of our clients who undergo this treatment hope to not only improve their overall skin elasticity but also reduce wrinkles around their eyes. Is this achievable? V-RO can be performed on the entire face, including delicate areas such as the eyes and lips.  After the procedure, it enhances skin elasticity and gradually reduces fine lines.  To maintain skin firmness, we recommend repeating the V-RO treatment every 3 to 4 months, ensuring that the effects remain consistent.

Can I Combine V-RO with Square Jaw Botox injection?

Image
V-RO is a lifting laser that temporarily lifts saggy skin. To improve the effect, we recommend that you combine it with square jaw Botox.    But can these procedures be done on the same day? If so, what is the order of the procedures?  First of all, it is possible to have both procedures on the same day. As an ultrasound lifting laser treatment, V-RO tightens the deep skin layer and does not cancel off the square jaw Botox. In other words, V-RO and Botox target different parts.   The procedure starts with V-RO laser, and then the doctor does the Botox injection.    It is recommended to repeat V-RO every 6 months and square jaw Botox 3 times at 3-4 month intervals.
