Why Is It Important to Skip the Sauna after Laser Treatments?

We always advise our patients to take a break from saunas for about a week after getting laser treatment, even though it's a simple procedure. But why?

Well, after laser, your skin is left in an irritated state. Even if you can't see any bruises, there are tiny wounds on your skin. If you expose those wounds to high temperatures, like in a sauna, there's a higher chance of getting an infection or inflammation.

For the best results and a smooth recovery, we recommend avoiding saunas or intense workouts for the first week after laser treatment.
