Laser Treatment for Hyperpigmentation?

Laser-based treatment is an effective procedure to improve skin pigmentation. There are various types of laser treatment, among which IPL and laser toning are the most popular.

During consultation with us, many clients wonder which one is more suitable for hyperpigmentation like freckles or melasma. Both can improve skin pigmentation, but what are the differences between them?

IPL is effective in removing freckles as well as improving age spots, melasma and dull skin.

It helps brighten your overall complexion, giving it a radiant glow. IPL is recommended to be undergone 5 times at 3-week intervals.

Meanwhile, laser toning addresses melasma, a type of hyperpigmentation in the deeper layers of the skin. Also, it can remove other types of hyperpigmentation like age spots.

By getting laser toning, you will notice a gradual lightening of hyperpigmentation. To assure safety and achieve optimal results, it is recommended to undergo a minimum of 10 low-intensity treatments spaced at 1-week intervals.
