Upper blepharoplasty is effective in fixing droopy eyelids due to skin aging. However, some of our customers who have double eyelids wonder if their double eyelids could be maintained during an upper blepharoplasty, or if the upper blepharoplasty should be combined with a double eyelid incisional surgery.  Can your double eyelids be maintained during an upper blepharoplasty? If you have double eyelids, the droopy eyelids and excess fat can be removed through incisions made along your eyelid crease during surgery. There is no need to create new eyelid creases. However, your eyes may appear unnatural for a while after surgery due to the incisions made along the crease. They will become more natural within 3 to 4 weeks.

A lot of our patients who do manual labor jobs have asked us when they can resume work after an eye wrinkle surgery or facelift.  So, how long after surgery should you wait to get back to work if your job involves a great deal of physical activities? If this is the case, it is recommended that you pay special attention for 1-2 weeks after stitches removal. Otherwise, the incision may get infected or opened again due to sweats.   Moreover, after surgery, you should refrain from lifting heavy stuffs for a while. 

Nose bridge surgery is a plastic surgery that increases the height of one’s nose bridge. Many people who are interested in nose bridge rhinoplasty wonder whether their eyes will look closer together after surgery.  Will this ever happen? Rhinoplasty does not reduce the distance between your eyes.  In very rare cases, the eyes may become closer together if the nose bridge is heightened too much. However, you don’t have to worry about that if your nose bridge has been heightened to an acceptable level.  Sometimes the welling may make your eyes look closer together, which is temporary. Your face will look natural after the swelling goes away.  

Many are concerned about the appearance of wrinkles on the neck along with the loss of skin elasticity due to skin aging. Especially those who love wearing outfits that can reveal their attractive neck are more interested in neck wrinkle treatment. Good news is neck wrinkles can be easily removed with Juve Look treatment. Juve Look is an injection procedure that promotes skin collagen production. It is very effective in smoothing out wrinkles on face and neck. Your neck area will be improved naturally after the treatment. Many patients have asked us how soon after blepharoplasty they can get a facial.  Is it okay to stimulate the area around your eyes after surgery? You can have a basic facial 2-3 weeks after a blepharoplasty.  However, avoid massage therapies that put too much pressure on your eye area, or the incisional site may get opened again.  For more intense stimulations like Meridian massage, we recommend waiting until one month after the surgery.  Remember, meet your plastic surgeon for a post-operative progress checkup and consultation before getting a facial. 

When summer comes, many think of getting calf Botox, thus have a lot of questions about this.  However, people who have the habit of exercising regularly wonder when they can resume exercises after the treatment. So, when can you resume exercises after calf Botox? You should avoid exercises for 2 weeks following the treatment. Results can be affected by intense activities like running. Also, do not wear high heels for 2-3 weeks.   Following aftercare instructions is crucial to all types of treatment and extra care is especially required in case of calf Botox injection.
