How long does swelling go after eyelid surgery?

Swelling is one of the things that most people feel worried about when undergoing double eyelid surgery. How long does the swelling go after the double eyelid surgery? How much time does it take for a full recovery?

Swelling and bruising subside depending on each person’s body constitution gradually. Usually, big swelling goes down usually within 2~3 weeks, while little swelling takes 3~6 months to subside.

After the double eyelid surgery, one can apply a cold pack first three days and for the following 5 days a warm pack. It helps reduce swelling and bruising.
