Is It Necessary to Wear a Compression Band After a Facelift?

A facelift is an effective procedure for reducing signs of aging such as wrinkles and sagging skin across the entire face.

During consultations, many patients ask whether wearing a compression band (tightening strap) is truly necessary after surgery, and how long it should be worn.

We recommend starting to wear the band approximately 2 to 3 weeks after the procedure. It helps improve skin elasticity and promotes better tissue adhesion.

Wearing it consistently for 3 to 6 months after surgery can lead to more defined and long-lasting results.
