Choosing Sunscreen? Just Check These 2 Things!
When selecting a sunscreen, there are two essential things to consider: SPF (Sun Protection Factor) and PA (Protection Grade of UVA). These are the most important indicators of how well the product protects your skin from harmful UV rays.
Choose SPF 30 or higher
SPF indicates the level of protection against UVB rays, which cause sunburn. For daily use, it’s recommended to choose a sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher. If you’re spending a lot of time outdoors or on days with high UV levels, SPF 50 is ideal.
Don’t forget to check the PA rating
PA refers to the level of protection against UVA rays, which penetrate deeper into the skin and contribute to pigmentation and premature aging. The more "+" signs after PA, the higher the protection. It’s best to choose a sunscreen with at least PA+++.
UVA rays can affect you indoors too
UVA rays can pass through windows — whether in your car, at home, or on a balcony — and still damage your skin. That’s why applying sunscreen indoors is just as important as when you're outside.
Reapply twice a day
Sunscreen doesn’t last all day. Apply it once in the morning and again after lunch to maintain effective protection. Reapplication is key to keeping your skin safe from sun damage.
