Can You Drive After Plastic Surgery?

A common concern among individuals considering plastic surgery is whether it's safe to drive afterward. Is it advisable to operate a vehicle immediately following a procedure?



It's generally recommended to refrain from driving after surgery. Despite feeling conscious and alert following IV sedation, you may still be in a semi-conscious state.


For this reason, it's preferable to arrange alternative transportation on the day of surgery. Consider utilizing public transportation or arranging for someone to accompany you home.
