Uneven Eyes After Lower Blepharoplasty!

Lower blepharoplasty effectively addresses issues such as excess fat and sagging skin under the eyes.

However, some patients may notice asymmetry between their eyes post-surgery. Does this indicate a problem with the procedure?

Not necessarily. It's common for one eye to heal and improve faster than the other, leading to the perception of unevenness.

Typically, significant swelling subsides within about one week, and it takes 2 to 3 weeks for the eyes to regain a natural appearance after surgery. Complete recovery from minor swelling may take up to 6 months.

If your eyes still appear uneven six months after surgery, excessive removal of fat under one eye may be the cause. In such cases, consulting a specialized plastic surgeon for advice before considering corrective surgery is recommended.
