Timing for Scar Gel Application Following Double Eyelid Surgery

After undergoing double eyelid surgery, scar gel may be prescribed to aid in the recovery process and minimize scarring. 


But when should you start applying scar gel, and how long should you continue?



It's generally recommended to wait until one week after the stitches have been removed before applying scar gel. Applying it too early may cause discomfort or a tingling sensation at the surgical site.



As for how long to use scar gel, it typically ranges from 3 to 6 months, depending on individual recovery speeds.
