How to Remove Large-Sized and Raised Moles

While small moles on the face or body may make one look more attractive, while large-sized moles can be a source of an annoyance to many individuals.

Can large or raised moles be removed? Is it possible to have them removed with laser?

If you're wondering how to remove large or raised moles, laser treatment is an effective option. However, if the mole is too large or protrudes out of the skin, mole removal surgery is recommended.

Mole removal surgery involves delicately excising the mole and closing the area with sutures. For larger moles, it may be necessary to undergo 2 - 3 surgical sessions at 6-month interval.

After mole removal, it is essential to apply waterproof tape for about a week and avoid strenuous exercises and saunas for 2-3 weeks following stitches removal.

Keep in mind that the size of the mole determines the visibility of the scar after surgery. Fortunately, the scar gradually fades away with time, so here's no need to be overly concerned.
