Duration of Swelling Following Double Eyelid Surgery

After double eyelid surgery, some patients worry about swelling about 1 or 2 weeks later.

You might be curious about when the swelling will go away and how long it takes for your eyes to look normal again.

How fast the swelling and bruising go away after eye surgery is different for each person.

Usually, the big swelling goes down in 2-3 weeks, but some swelling might last for 3-6 months, or even longer depending on your body.

To help reduce swelling after the surgery, use a cool compress for 3 days, and then switch to a warm one for a week.

Also, try to eat foods that can help with swelling, and take short walks now and then. These things can make your recovery better.
