You may wonder when the swellings will subside, and how long it takes for your eyes to become natural.



Following an eye surgery, the speed at which the swelling and bruises disappear varies depending on one’s body constitution. 


Typically, significant swelling subsides within 2-3 weeks, while residual swelling takes 3-6 months to fade away. It may last longer depending on individual’s body constitution. 



After double eyelid surgery, apply cool compress for 3 days, followed by warm compress for a week. This helps with reducing swelling.


Besides, it is recommended to consume foods that help reduce swelling and take occasional walks.
