The Back of My Ear Protrudes after Facelift

Facelift is effective in removing overall facial wrinkles.

In this procedure, a long incision is made in the hairline starting at the temples and ending behind the ear. However, there are cases in which the back of the ear sticks out after surgery.

Can you just ignore it? When will it get better?

The back of the ear may appear convex for a while. Not only after a facelift but also after other operations, the surgical area may become slightly convex or stiff.

It will get better over time, so it is not something to worry about too much.

However, if the back of your ear severely swells or gets red, you should consult with the surgeon. These symptoms can be easily treated with prescription medications.
