Does Fat Grafting Make Skin Sag Faster?

Facial fat grafting is a method to restore the lost volume in the face naturally.

A question we have received very often from our clients is whether the skin sags after the fat grafting procedure. Does fat transfer lead to fast facial skin sagging, making you look like an angry person?

No, it does not. Fat transfer in fact has nothing to do with skin aging.

After fat grafting, the skin may look bloated and sagged but this is something happens naturally when a lot of fat is injected into the skin. The fat bundled up beneath the skin makes it look loose as if it were aging.

The fat grafting result highly depends on the surgeon’s skills. Therefore, it is recommended that you seek consultation with an experienced surgeon before deciding on undergoing the procedure.
