Can I have filler and Botox during pregnancy?

Many married women often ask if it is okay to have non-surgical procedures like fillers and Botox during pregnancy. In today’s post, we will be talking about this topic.

First of all, let’s look at the difference between fillers and Botox injections. Fillers are done to add some volume to a particular part of the body, usually the face.

The main component of most fillers injections is Hyaluronic acid.

Botox is an injection that temporarily blocks the muscles and prevents the appearance of dynamic (expression) wrinkles.

Another major difference between fillers and Botox is that filler injections do not circulate in the body, whereas Botox does circulate in the entire body.

Thus, it is not recommended to get Botox injections during the pregnancy since it may adversely affect the baby.

Despite this, the best decision would be to do both fillers and botox injections after the birth.

Even if the fillers are safe to do while pregnant, there is still very little likelihood that it might affect the baby.
