When to apply scarring cream after eyelid surgery?

 

Many patients wonder when they can start applying scarring cream and for how long they should apply it.

 

 

The answer is 1~2 weeks after the stitches removal. When applied before, the scarring cream might cause irritation on the surgery area.

Depending on the healing process, one can apply it from 3 weeks up to 3~6 months.

 

 

After 6 months, the surgery scarring becomes far less noticeable. And there will not be a need to use scarring ointment any longer.
