When can I have a laser after fat grafting procedure?

Fat grafting is a surgical procedure that helps add volume to the hollow areas of the face. The most important thing after the procedure is healing.

Because it takes time for the transferred fat to be engrafted. Therefore, many patients often ask when they can get skin care procedures such as a laser.

One can start getting skincare and other non-ablative laser treatments after 2~3 weeks. Such skin care or laser treatments do not carry any risk after the fat grafting surgery.

However, there are some types of lasers like high-frequency wavelength that can negatively affect the recovery after fat grafting. Therefore, we recommend that you have those procedures in 6 months.

Healing without any complications is more important than skin care. Therefore, it is better to wait sometime before undergoing ablative laser treatments.
