Who should avoid Fraxel laser treatment?

Fraxel laser is considered to be one of the most effective laser treatments to improve fine lines, acne scars, post-acne pigmentation, skin tone, and texture, lighten the age spots, sun damage, and many other skin issues. However, Fraxel laser has limitations and is not recommended for people with certain skin conditions. They are as follows.

It is better to avoid the Fraxel treatment for those who:

have very sensitive skin

have active acne

have moderate or serious rosacea

have eczema

have dark skin tones because Fraxel can exacerbate the pigmentation.

If one of these conditions above applies to you, it is better to consult with a board-certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon before the procedure.
