What to expect with Upper Blepharoplasty?

One of the most commonly performed facial procedures worldwide is Upper Blepharoplasty. This operation involves the surgical removal of excess skin on the upper eyelids. The operation may also include the removal of redundant fat tissue. This kind of operation makes the overall facial appearance more youthful.

Undoubtedly, Upper blepharoplasty requires the plastic surgeon to have great experience, expert knowledge, and advanced surgical skills. The incision is made on the natural eyelid crease. If there is no eyelid crease, the double eyelids can be created during the surgery. During the operation, the excess fat deposits and skin are removed. Then the incisions are closed with the sutures which are removed 5 days after the surgery.

Post-surgical swelling and bruising are common after the surgery. It may take 3-4 weeks for the swelling to subside.
