Which anesthesia should I undergo during the surgery?

When a person undergoes plastic surgery, he or she is administered anesthesia. However, one of the most frequent questions we get “Is it possible to conduct plastic surgery under general anesthesia?”

The majority of plastic surgeries are done under IV sedation and local anesthesia. There are two main reasons for that.

The first reason is for the sake of the creation of a precise design. When it comes to blepharoplasty, the surgeon may ask the patient to open or close the eyes.

It will help the surgeon to ensure if the lines are similar and right. The same approach applies to other surgeries such as rhinoplasty.

The second reason is safety. An excessive amount of anesthesia, vice versa, may cause side effects resulting in conditions bad for the patient’s health.

It is crucial to bear in mind that safety is as important as the result of plastic surgery. Therefore, IV sedation and local anesthesia would be the safest and best options for better results.
