When can I have a revision eyelid surgery?

Sometimes, customers find the line of double eyelids a bit different than they expected. For example, the double eyelid line can look too thick or too thin (almost invisible).

In such situations, they opt for revision eyelid surgery.

An eyelid revision surgery can be performed six months after the previous surgery. Why six months? During six months, the surgery site becomes softer and recovers fully.

This enables the surgeon to perform the revision with ease.

However, it does not mean that anyone who underwent the surgery can have revision surgery after six months. Since every person is different, so is the recovery time.

Therefore, whether one can undergo a revision surgery must be discussed only with a board-certified plastic surgeon.

He or she can examine and recommend whether it is okay to go ahead with the surgery or wait for some more time.

Lastly, the most important thing to remember is that revision surgery usually requires a more delicate and careful approach than the first surgery.
