How to take care of your skin?

Do you know how to take care of your skin? What does it mean to take care of the skin in the first place?

If you know the answers to these two questions above, then you do not need to read the rest of this post. However, if you would like to know more, you can keep reading it.

First of all, I am not going to write or reveal something that will dramatically change your skin. The reason is that every person is different, and everyone needs their appropriate skincare routine that will match their skin type.

Regardless of your skin type and skin problems, daily and the most basic skincare routine consists of 4 steps: Cleansing, Application of toners or serums, Moisturizing, and Sunscreen.

Step 1 Cleansing.

It is necessary to wash the face twice a day: in the morning and the evening. Cleansing helps remove skin impurities and sebum.

If you sleep wearing make-up or without washing up the face, the skin produces more sebum and clogs the pores with dirt.

When it comes to cleansing, some people overdo this step by washing up more than twice a day. Just washing your face many times does not mean your skin gets better.

On the contrary, it may worsen the skin problems by drying it up. Therefore, my advice would be not to go overboard with cleansing.

Also, it is important to cleanse with a mild cleanser suitable for your skin. Do not ever use soap as a cleanser. And a good cleanser should necessarily be an expensive one.

Step 2 Toning or serums.

The second step is not a mandatory one. You can skip it if you want. However, applying toners or serums improves the skin.

How do they help? Well, toners prepare the skin by opening the pores for the better absorption of the concentrated serum or ampoules such as Vitamin C and so on.

However, your skin gets heavy after the toners or serums, then it is okay and better to skin them.

Step 3 Moisturizing.

When the steps above are finished, you can start applying a moisturizing cream.

Many people tend to think that if you have oily skin, then there is no need to apply a cream. Well, that is not true. Even oily skin types need moisturizing.

Moisturizing will keep your skin hydrated during the night and day. In addition, it helps prevent the appearance of wrinkles.

Next time when you are to purchase a moisturizer, make sure that it is non-comedogenic and hypoallergenic.

Non-comedogenic means that the cream does not clog your pores and cause any acne or skin problems.

Step 4 Sunblock.

All 3 steps play an essential role in the skincare routine. However, if your skin steps 4 (sunscreen), all your efforts you put into the 3 steps above will fail.

Not applying a sunblock can put your skin and health at risk because UV lights are said to cause skin cancer and other skin problems such as hyperpigmentation, freckles, wrinkles, and the list goes on and on.

Particularly, if you have a dark skin tone, you need to pay closer attention to the application of sunblock.

It is recommended to apply sunscreen only in the morning 15 minutes before going outside.

However, you should apply sunscreen even when you are indoors.

It might look a bit complicated and bothersome somehow to follow a skincare routine every day.

However, if you would like to look good, have healthy skin, spend less money on expensive dermatological procedures, then you might want to practice skin care regularly. ‘

Lastly, do not forget that small steps at a time will do wonders later. DFTBA

DFTBA= DO NOT FORGET TO BE AWESOME.
