Is Liposuction effective?

Liposuction is a cosmetic procedure removing excess fat from a particular part of the body. It is considered to be a famous surgery option that helps improve body shape and contour.

People opt for liposuction to remove fat mainly from the buttocks, abdomen, flanks (sides), arms, neck, thighs, and hips. Usually, most people consider liposuction because they might not have seen any change or got any benefits of exercise and diet.

Liposuction can be done under local and general anesthesia. During the anesthesia, you will be asleep or half-asleep and not feel any pain or discomfort. It is normal to have pain and swelling after the surgery. It will start to subside after 2~3 weeks.

To alleviate the post-surgery pain, the doctor prescribed the medications that you must take. It is also important to wear a compression garment for 3 months after the surgery to maintain the efficacy of liposuction.
