How effective is Botox for crow’s feet?
Botox injections are anti-aging treatments used to improve or reduce the appearance of wrinkles.
As we age, skin goes through many changes. For example, it starts to lose its elasticity which leads to skin sogginess and wrinkle formation.
Some areas of our face are more likely to form wrinkles or lines rather than others. For example, crow’s feet are the common concerns people wish to remove or improve at least.
Crow’s feet are small wrinkles or lines around the corners of the eye. They develop when we make a facial expression.
There are two types of wrinkles: dynamic and static. So if you see a line or wrinkles around the corners of the eye when you smile or make an expression, it is dynamic wrinkles or dynamic crow’s feet.
However, if the wrinkle is still visible even if you do not make any expression, then it is static or static crow’s feet. Static wrinkles may become even worse when muscle contraction occurs.
There are many options to improve this, but Botox remains the most popular, effective, yet temporary alternative for that. Botox is injected directly into the corners of the eyes. and by this, muscles relaxed.
The effect from Botox lasts from 4~ 6 months, depending on the product.
It is necessary to remember that Botox improves only dynamic crow’s feet, but if your concern is to reduce static crow’s feet, then you might want to consider dermal filler injections as well.
