What should one expect during the rhinoplasty recovery?

Rhinoplasty has become one of the most popular cosmetic procedures among men and women. According to the statistics reported by America plastic surgery association, the number of people getting rhinoplasty is increasing year by year. People choose rhinoplasty for a variety of reasons. Some people would want to improve breathing issues, while others- correct their nose to improve its appearance. Whatever the reason for rhinoplasty is, it takes quite a bit of time to see the results of the surgery.

However, what to expect during the recovery period after rhinoplasty? The very first thing that every patient must have is patience. As mentioned earlier, it takes some time, at least six months and a year for the nose to fully heal because during this time, most of the swelling subsides, and then one can see the final shape of the nose. Most of the patients can see the changes after 2~3 weeks when the healing process begins. Soft nasal tissues tend to hold swelling longer than on the other parts of the body. Therefore, having patience and waiting can take time. There might be some potential pain and bruising after the surgery. However, if you take all the medications prescribed by a plastic surgeon, they should go away within some days.
