Fat grafting in nasolabial folds
With time the appearance of wrinkles and folds reveals our real age. One of the facial areas where early signs of aging are the most noticeable is the lower half of the face, particularly nasolabial folds. Therefore many people are willing to find the cure to reinstate the fullness of this aging area to look younger than their age. One of the effective ways to get your years back is by removing nasolabial folds with fat grafting.
Fat grafting is an effective way that helps to remove the extra fat from the body and inject it into the wrinkled and saggy area. The main aim of fat grafting is to add volume to the desired area. During the operation, the fat is extracted from the hip area. The extracted fat is purified and mixed up with the PRP (Placelet rich plasma). The doctor makes tiny incisions and the harvested fat is injected into the nasolabial folds. Then the incisions are repaired with a couple of stitches.
The facial stitches are removed 3 days after the surgery. The stitches from the hip area are removed within 10 days of surgery.
One of the main advantages of fat grafting is that the transplanted fat originates from the patient herself and there won’t be any allergic reactions due to the procedure. There won’t be any scars and the recovery period is minimal. Since the fat graft survival rate is around 50% after the first session, the multiple treatments may be needed in 3-6 months.
