Everything about Mini Facelift

Mini Facelift is a simplified version of a traditional facelift. It is simplified in terms that the doctor makes small incisions around the hairline to lift the saggy face. Mini Facelift mostly focuses on the correction of the lower half of the face, specifically the neck and jawline. It is one of the effective and long-lasting treatment methods for saggy skin.

How is a mini facelift performed? The mini facelift is one kind of anti-aging surgeries to improve and remove the drooping skin through a few small incisions. The surgeon removes the excess skin and pulls up the skin. It prevents the appearance of wrinkles. At times, during the consultation, the surgeon may recommend conducting blepharoplasty or brow lift surgery in combination with the mini facelift. The reason is that the mini facelift targets the lower part of the face, such as the neck and jawline.

The surgery is performed done under local or general anesthesia. The doctor marks the target areas on the face and makes incisions around the ears and the hairline. The surgeon does not only remove the skin, but he or she also pulls up the underlying tissues and muscles, which improves the result of the surgery. After the surgery, you may experience pain, swelling, and bruising on the surgery site. However, all of these symptoms go away within several days.

It is highly important to follow the post-operation instructions and care at home. It involves not drinking, touching, or rubbing and avoid highly intensive sports activities and exercises for some time because these can aggravate the post-surgery symptoms and affect the final result of the surgery.
